New SVUSD Board Member appointed!
On Tuesday, October 27, 2015, the Silver Valley Unified School Board interviewed and appointed Mark Staggs as the new Board member, replacing Christina Downing. Mr. Stagg’s position as a member of the School Board will expire in November 2016, when he may choose to vie for the open seat.
Mr. Staggs has lived in Daggett for 40 years. He graduated from Calico High School in 1988 and his children have all attended the Silver Valley schools. Mr. Staggs is a board member serving on the Daggett Community Services District (CSD) Board since 2012.
Mark Staggs will be sworn in to office at the next regular Board meeting, November 10, 2015.
