Title:
Spanish Teacher
Sonia Lopez

My name is Sonia Lopez Gutierrez,  I was born in Mexico, I have an accounting and  nursing minor degree from my country. I came to to the USA when  I was on doing my junior college to be a lawyer (did not happen). In the USA I attended to CSUSB. I have a MA in Spanish, a BA in Spanish Literature,  a BA in Spanish Language, and a Minor in Latin American Studies.  I finished my single subject credentials at National University. I work for a community college two days a week during the evenings. I started teaching kindergarten in Mexico when I was 17 years old, then I work as assistant teacher for CSUSB for one year, worked two years for JUSD as a substitute teacher and five years for a charter school in San Bernardino.

I do believe that all languages are beautiful and important and I am passionate  about other cultures and traditions.

My philosophy is that we all can do better every day, and that we all have the power to succeed; that educations is a team work: students, parents and teachers. Hopefully  we all are going to do our part to help our students' educational achievements and personal goals.
