Welcome to the District's Maintenance, Operations, and Transportation (M.O.T.) Department. The department is headed by the M.O.T. director Ken Young. He may be reached by e-mail, or at 760-254-2916 ext. 1142.
Ken is assisted in the office by department secretary - Lynn Thornton, MOT Lead - Henry Hisquierdo, Custodial Lead - Mike Garcia, and Maintenance/Mechanic - Danny Weeks.
Call Lynn with maintenance, grounds, custodial or any facility requests or problems. Lynn also processes the "Use of Facilities" requests, vehicle requests, utility service calls, pest control, vandalism reports, and will be able to direct any facility needs to appropriate persons.
Henry handles all "Work Order Requests" and emergency facility or safety issues. Please call Henry with any emergencies that you may have regarding your facility.
Mike coordinates and assists the custodial staff. Call Mike with special event set-up requests, custodial service concerns, or evening facility concerns.
Danny services all our district vehicles. He also does maintenance work as needed.
We would like to welcome our newest member to the MOT Department, Rodney Woodard.
Rodney has a wealth of experience that will benefit the Silver Valley Unified School District. He has 30+ years of HVAC, elcectrician, and welding experience. Please help us make him feel welcomed.
