Fort Irwin Middle School

For the past nine years, Ms. Short has been the Media Technician for the Fort Irwin Middle School.  She holds an AA degree in Computer Programming, a BA in Library Science and Media and is currently working on her MA in Ancient and Classical History.  As a part of the FIMS team, she encourages students of all grades to read and develop their lifelong love of reading and exploring different genres.  Dedicated to helping the students, her door is always open and she is more than happy to help the students reach their reading and learning goals.  Education and learning are a priority to Ms. Short; she believes reading can improve vocabulary and analytical thinking skills.  Each school year brings new faces, new opportunities for learning along with new challenges to reach reading goals.  Go wildcats!

            There is no such thing as a child who hates to read; there are only children that have not found the right book.
