Thomas Washburn
Mr. Washburn is the 7th/8th grade science teacher at Fort Irwin Middle School. He also teaches one inquiry science class for those students who really love science. He has taught in this district for 28 years and especially likes the diversity of students and interactions in the classroom. He strongly believes that all students can be successful if they try and learn to be responsible. He has high expectations but is willing to help any student who is struggling.
Mr. Washburn met his wife carpooling to work many years ago. She teaches kindergarden at Lewis Elementary School. They share 4 children, 15 grandchildren, and 3 dogs. They often swap stories and find many similarities between the 5 year olds and the 14 year olds...hum.
