Wilson Malana
Mr. Wilson U. Malana is the Social Studies teacher of 7th and 8th grades. He is also the 8th grade AVID teacher. This is his 18th year of teaching and 5th with Silver Valley Unified School District. He graduated college with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and completed a Master’s Degree in History and Political Science.
It is his profound belief that California as a state and the United States as a nation were rooted on a historical foundation of diversity and multi-culturalism. As such, it is every educational institution’s duty to cultivate these unique characteristics. It is therefore a must that everyone—students, parents, staff, and administrators alike share in the mission of providing equal opportunities for everyone regardless of their academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
He looks forward to sharing this school year with his students and their families and establishing a partnership in their child’s education. He believes that with their help, this year will be a fruitful and successful one.
