PBIS Points

  • Students may receive a PRIDE certificate from any staff member for exhibiting behavior that exemplifies the principles of PRIDE. The specific behavior will need to be explained on the PRIDE certificate. 1 PRIDE incident equals 5 points (1 scan).

  • Staff members will get 8 PRIDE certificates each month. Even if they don’t use all or any of them, they will still receive 8 each month, so some months a staff member may issue more than 8.

  • If a child does not have their student ID, they will not get their PRIDE certificate (Preparation means they have their ID at all times)

  • Once the staff member fills it out, it is given to the student. On Fridays, the students will be responsible for taking it to a “scanner.” The scanner will take the certificate from the student, and scan the student. The student must have their ID to be scanned.

  • Once a month, any student who has been scanned will go pick up their PRIDE lottery tickets. The amount of tickets given will be determined by the amount of scans.

         1 scan  = 1 ticket (5 points)

         3 scans = 3 tickets (15 points)

  • The student will fill out the appropriate information on each ticket, and then they can enter their tickets into the drawing for a chance to win that month’s incentive. 25 students will be drawn each month, and a student is only eligible to win once a month regardless of how many entries they have. If a student chooses, he or she may save the tickets for an upcoming incentive.
