BURGER KING BK SCHOLARS: Open to high school seniors, you could win a scholarship ranging from $1,000-$50,000.  Applicants must:

  • Be residents of the United States, Canada or Puerto Rico
  • Be graduating high school seniors (U.S. and Puerto Rico), graduating from grade 12 (Canada) or graduating from home school education in the U.S., Puerto Rico or Canada
  • Have a cumulative high school grade point average of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 scale, or the equivalent
  • Plan to enroll full-time, without interruption, for the entire 2016-17 academic year at an accredited two- or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school in the U.S., Canada or Puerto Rico

BHS LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION: The BHS Local Scholarship Application is now open on the Career Center section of the BHS website.  Once there, scroll down until you see “Local Scholarship Application”, then look next to it, and click “View PDF”.  You must be a BHS senior to apply.  You may type directly into the application.  Please remember that you may not exceed two pages.

CAC (CALIFORNIA ASSOCIATION OF COLLECTORS, INC): The CAC has announced a scholarship opportunity for graduating high school seniors for use at any accredited college, university or vocational school. The scholarship is based upon a simple one-page application and a 700-1,000 word essay on "The Importance of Establishing and Maintaining Good Financial Credit during Your College Years." EDISON SCHOLARS PROGRAM: Edison Scholars Program rewards public and private high school seniors who show potential for a successful college career & have financial need.  Some of the eligibility requirements include:

·         Plan to be a full-time student majoring in math, physics, chemistry, engineering, materials science, or computer science/information systems at a four-year college or university.

·         Be a current high school senior with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 (or higher) on a 4.0 scale.

·         Live in or attend a high school in the SCE service area

·         Plan to attend an accredited four-year college or university in the U.S.

·         Must demonstrate financial need

ITEP SCHOLARSHIP: Are you a senior in Mojave XP?  If you are, this scholarship is for you!  You must be a graduating senior of ITEP’s Academy at Barstow High School (MXP), have a minimum GPA of 2.75, and plan to enroll full-time in an accredited college, university, community or junior college, or vocational/technical program in the Fall of 2016.
