Eligibility
Barstow High School provides numerous educational opportunities for student in addition to its regular academic program. These activities fall into two primary area-co-curricular and extra-curricular. Minimum eligibility requirements for participation in extra-curricular activities are a previous quarter grade average of 2.0. Minimum eligibility requirements for participation in co-curricular activities are a semester grade average of 2.0. Students with less than 2.0 will not be allowed to enroll in courses listed as co-curricular until the grade point average returns to a 2.0 or better.
Incoming ninth graders, who do not meet the 2.0 grade point average and wish to participate in an extra- or co-curricular activity, will be placed on probation. For extras-curricular activities, the probationary period is to be one quarter, and for co-curricular activities, the probation period is to be one semester (AR 5121a).

ASB and Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities
It is school board policy that all students who wish to participate in ANY CO-CURRICULAR AND EXTRA-CURRICULAR activities must have a grade point average of at least 2.0. In an effort to maintain the academic integrity of Barstow High School, ASB will strictly enforce this rule at all ASB-sponsored events including but not limited to Prom, Powder Puff, Homecoming, Mr. Aztec, and all ASB assemblies.
